Our House

At Whole Heart Recovery House we believe in safety. With an all women's Recovery house, guests can feel relaxed and comfortable knowing they have sisters in their community as housemates.

Every week the house will gather for a weekly meeting and debriefing. Housemates will have the opportunity to check-in, voice struggles and work together to find common solutions to everyday life problems that may arise. This is where chores will be handed out, feedback given and any new events or news will be discussed. As we continue to grow together it's important to create a safe space where vulnerable conversations can happen.

Some rules and expectations are necessary when living with other sober women. To keep everyone safe there are contracts in place that are signed by every housemate. These rules have to be followed and are strictly enforced.

Whole Heart Recovery House includes everything a person would need to start their new journey in recovery. All common areas are fully furnished, kitchen includes all everyday items such as dishes, small appliances, glassware, cookware et. Bedrooms are fully furnished including bedding. Bathrooms have basic necessities stocked as well as onsite laundry.

Our recovery house is conveniently located in central Nanaimo, and is walking distance to many necessary amenities. This including public transit, shopping, recreation, BC Ferries, hospital, E&N trail, Edgewood Treatment Center and many more.

Morning Meditation happens twice a week. Whole Heart Recovery House believes having a connection to a power greater than oneself is an important aspect of the Recovery journey.
